Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-3
Brilliant performance, well done lads. There seemed so much more energy throughout the side and we pushed Everton back in all areas of the pitch.

Everybody had a good game, some had cracking games, but I'd like to single out Noble as an example of what we need (and what a lot of great sides have).

Noble is a classic 'get out' player. He supports, collects and gives the ball easy all day long. He allows other more talented players a get out when they may lose possession. This makes him look unadventurous and thats because he is, it's not his style.

Wilshire will never be able to do this. Obiang can, Rice can, but Noble does it best and its a vital skill we need every game.

Liverpool have it with Milner, Man U with Madic, Chelsea with Kante, Yids Dier etc etc.

Noble is not as good as these players but he's fucking good nonetheless and we are a poorer side without his energy and give and go skills.

So, now he's nearing the end of his career, this is the one vital position we need to fill and we need to do it sooner not later.

I wonder if MP see's Rice as this position and is feeding him into it gradually?

Indeed, nice little trick he does to bring the defence out of balance just before he shoots.

And great to see Arnie is not being selfish at the first, but instead making the chance bigger.

We had a game plan today and it worked well, similar goals in the way that we put pressure on Everton, so they were unable to retain the ball and made errors.
Still some shaky times in defence, but a clear improvement from the first games. I think Zab and his experience took pressure off the central defence, so they could play central defence.

Now let's keep it going...

Excellent result and plenty of positives to take from the game; however, there are still many negatives.

Formation expects Yarmolenko and Anderson to track back as if Wing backs. This on many occasions just leaves Arnie up top. It's 451 and if we must play this way it needs a hell of a tweaking. Better teams will realise they can all press further up due to this.

Noble had a few opportunities to control the ball, or let him go past him to start an offensive play, but he played the ball back instead. He needs to realise he sometimes has plenty of time.

Most decisions went their way; I thought Atkinson was wank.

We got 3 yellows for a hand across the Everton player; all 3 went down. Bernard's dive was a shocker, yet Atkinson, who could not possibly see the contact, or lack of it, gave a foul and a yellow to Zaba.

Everton still lost 1-3.

Thought Diop and Balbuena done well today.
Everton were poor upfront, but credit where its due, they never gave them much and the more they play together, the more of an understanding the will have hopefully.
It also helps when Rice controls that area just in front of them as well.

I think it's been stated by a few sources that the Everton crowd are the worst in the country for bias and sheer inability to accept that every decision should go their way.

Cracking result. Great forward play. Rice and Obiang were superb. Defence still extremely shakey and set pieces at both ends need a lot of work.

What fantastic goals though.

Pellegrini has been found out and we are easy pickings.

Going by MOTD highlights there is not a team in league we can beat

Hopefully you’ll be watching MOTD2 tonight ‘67 son.

Three point great, but also saw a potentially exciting team shaping up. Lots more focus and attention to detail needed, but excellent game management at the end of the game, and I VERY much like the look of Rice in front of the two new centre backs.

Anyone hear that Scouse cunt, who must have been near one of the pitch side mikes, cunting and fucking throughout the game every time something went against them ?

Sky apologised in case we heard any bad language. Well, I NEVER did this sort of thing back in the day on the North Bank, the cunt. They seemed to have turned that mike down 2nd half but you could still just about hear him.

I'm sitting here, drinking a beer, smiling at the thought of that cunt and the evening he's having. He's probably at home, battering the wife.

HAVE SOME OF THAT, YOU SCOUSE CUNT !
